Sensor technology is an important symbol of contemporary scientific and technological development. The role of sensors is irreplaceable and has been applied in all aspects of everyday life. To date, there are thousands of types of sensors. Among the many sensors, pressure sensors are the ones commonly used in industrial practice.
There are many types of pressure sensors, such as resistive strain gauge pressure sensors, semiconductor strain gauge pressure sensors, piezoresistive pressure sensors, inductive pressure sensors, capacitive pressure sensors, resonant pressure sensors and capacitive acceleration sensors. However, the most widely used is the piezoresistive pressure sensor, which is very inexpensive, highly accurate and linear.
Corrosion-proof pressure sensors have no liquid transmission and the pressure acts directly on the front surface of the ceramic diaphragm, causing slight deformation of the diaphragm. Thick film resistors are printed on the back side of the ceramic diaphragm and connected to form a Wheatstone bridge. The piezoresistive effect of the sensitive resistor causes the bridge to produce a highly linear voltage signal which is proportional to the pressure and proportional to the excitation voltage.
Depending on the pressure range, the standard signal is calibrated to 2.0 / 3.0 / 3.3 mV / V. Compatible with strain gauge sensors, this pressure sensor has high temperature stability and time stability through laser calibration. The sensor is temperature compensated from 0 to 70°C and can be used in direct contact with most media.
We use pressure sensors frequently and take care to protect them when using them. Even though the pressure sensor is protected by stainless steel, it is still susceptible to damage, especially if used incorrectly, which can easily damage the pressure sensor and cause damage.
