When we choose a load cell, the description of the cell will have many parameters to indicate to us the performance of this sensor, among which are creep, temperature drift, accuracy, repeatability, etc. One of the most important parameters, the sensitivity, is generally labelled as follows:
Sensitivity 2 ± 0.002 (mv/v)
What does this sensitivity mean? It is an important performance indicator of the transducer, of course other indicators are also important, but in our choice of sensor to be used, this indicator will directly affect the use. In fact, it means that the sensor is subjected to a rated pull (if the full range is 200KG, its rated pull is 200KG) do use, in the case of the excitation voltage (also called for bridge voltage, input voltage) is 1v, its two outputs will have 2mv of pressure change. If a 200KG sensor, its sensitivity is 2±0.002 (mv/v), its excitation voltage is 10v, then under the action of 200KG pulling force, the pressure change at the output is 2*10=20mv. parallel use, must require each sensor sensitivity to be the same in order to use at the same time. If they are not the same they will make the whole scale inaccurate and placing an item on the same scale in different places will show different weights. If the replacement of damaged sensors, but also to find the sensitivity and range of the same sensor, the other indicators can be ignored, as long as the two indicators are the same, without regard to stability, size and other premises, that is, different manufacturers of sensors put together can also be used.
