How do I use a pressure sensor? Many users will have this question. In fact, the piezoelectric sensor is one of the most commonly used sensors in industrial practice, converting pressure into an electrical signal and outputting it. It is also the most widely used sensor in various industrial automatic control environments.
The main points of use of a pressure sensor and the correct location of the transmitter on the process piping are related to the medium to be measured. Only by mastering the correct use of pressure sensors can we obtain the best measurement results!
1. Prevent the transmitter from contacting corrosive or overheated media.
2. Prevent sediment from being deposited in the conduit.
3. When measuring liquid pressure, the pressure-taking port should be opened on the side of the process pipeline to avoid deposits and slag accumulation.
4. When measuring gas pressure, the pressure inlet should be opened at the top of the process piping and the transmitter should also be installed at the top of the process piping so that the accumulated liquid can be easily injected into the process piping.
5. The pressure piping should be installed in a place with small temperature fluctuations.
6. When measuring steam or other high temperature media, the pressure sensor must be connected to a condenser, such as a buffer tube (coil), and the operating temperature of the transmitter should not exceed the limit.
The pressure transducer consists of a base material, a metal strain wire or strain foil, an insulating protective sheet and a lead wire. Depending on the application, the resistance value of the resistance strain gauge can be designed by the designer, but attention should be paid to the range of resistance values: too small a resistance value and the required drive current is too large.
Also, the temperature of the strain gauge is too high due to the heat. When used in different environments, the resistance value of the strain gauge varies too much, the output zero drift is significant, and the zeroing circuit is too complicated. However, the resistance is too large, the impedance is too high, and the resistance to external electromagnetic interference is poor. Generally, they range from a few tens of euros to tens of kilohms.
