As one of the tools for human-machine communication, sensors capture all kinds of information in time during the operation of a machine and provide the technical and theoretical basis for people's next decision. It can also provide accurate technical support in product design and parameter studies. With the advancement of science and technology, the use of pressure sensors has become more and more widespread and has penetrated into various fields.
The function of a pressure sensor is usually to convert the measured non-electricity into an electrical output It consists of four main components: the sensitive element, the conversion component, the measurement circuit and the auxiliary power supply.
1. Sensitive element: In a force transducer, the main function is to sense changes in the measured value, while converting the measured value into an intermediate variable that can be easily converted into electricity. For example, a diaphragm pressure sensor, whose sensitive component is an elastic diaphragm, functions to convert the pressure signal into a deformation of the diaphragm in preparation for the output of the next electrical signal.
2. Conversion element: The pressure sensor converts the intermediate non-electrical output from the sensitive element into electrical energy that the sensor can use through the conversion element. It mainly uses some physical, chemical or biological effects to achieve this purpose.
For example, the diaphragm pressure sensor conversion element uses the resistance-strain effect, that is, the resistance of a metal conductor or semiconductor with the size of the mechanical deformation it undergoes and the principle of conversion of its deformation, the elastic diaphragm into the resistance species.
3, measurement circuit: it is usually difficult to directly display, record and process the power output of the conversion element. It needs to be further converted into a directly available electrical signal, the measurement circuit to complete this function.
For example, the measurement circuit in a strain gauge force measuring sensor is a bridging circuit which converts the resistance value of the strain gauge output into a voltage signal which can be amplified to drive the recording device and display instrument.
4. Auxiliary power supply: In addition to the circuit power supply, some pressure sensors require an auxiliary power supply to provide the signal.
