(Summary description)The Six Component Sensor is one of the smaller six degree of freedom sensors in the world, featuring a compact and low-profile design. The sensor has a through-hole for mounting connecting rods and cables. The sextant force transducer is extremely strong, machined from high-strength stainless steel wire cut, and has a single-axis overload of 5.7 to 25.3 times the rated range. The signal of silicon strain gauge is 75 times stronger than conventional strain gauge at high signal-to-noise ratio. Signal amplification results in near-zero noise distortion.

The calibration of the six-component sensor is performed under the assumption that the sensor system is linear, i.e., the static mathematical model of the sensor satisfies F = CV
where v is the raw information of the six channels (column information in v) and f is the calculated force information of the six channels (column information in KN for force and KNm for moment) output by the six dimensional force sensor [6-7].
The essence of the static calibration of the sensor is to find the calibration matrix C using the generalized force vector set F applied to the sextant force sensor and the six output signal vector sets V obtained through data acquisition and upsampling. The output signal of the sensor is a vector consisting of six voltage signals.
If the effect of nonlinearities of the sensor is not considered, a unique solution can be obtained by applying six linearly independent force vectors to the sensor and measuring the output voltage signal vectors of the sensor corresponding to the six force vectors.

Applications of the six-component sensor:
It is widely used in remote control robots, robotic surgery, robotic arm research, finger force research, precision assembly, automatic grinding, contour tracking, two-handed coordination, zero force demonstration and other operations, and is widely used in aviation, aerospace and machining, automotive and other industries.
Features of the six component sensors:
The first six-dimensional force sensor elastomer adopts a patented structure with high sensitivity, good rigidity, small size coupling and mechanical overload protection.
Second, the signal of the integrated decoupling bridge is synthesized into six components in three dimensions, which can be used directly for force control.
Third, standard serial and parallel ports are used for input and output.
Fourth, the product can be connected to a control computer to form a two-stage computer system, or to a terminal to form a stand-alone test facility.
