Design of Piezoelectric Probe Force Sensor for Plate Bending Load Testing

Description: In the load testing of sheet metal formed by bending molds, ordinary sensors may experience functional failure due to low signal-to-noise ratio and limited testing space. A piezoelectric probe force sensor is designed based on the stress distribution law of metal during plastic forming. When one end of the probe is subjected to the compression effect of sheet metal bending deformation, the generated stress propagates along the axial direction of the probe. By measuring the load on the probe, the bending forming force of the entire plate can be obtained. In order to test the performance of the piezoelectric probe force sensor, a bending combination mold was specially designed, and the piezoelectric probe force sensor was installed obliquely in the mold cavity. The load on the plate during bending forming was tested through repeated experiments, and the test results were compared with the results calculated by empirical formulas. The test deviation was within an acceptable range, and the results showed that the sensor performance was stable and reliable.
